OLLI Membership

An active OLLI membership is required to register for courses, field trips, socials and travel.

OLLI at UA annual memberships run from August 1 to July 31, following the UA academic calendar. You can join at any time during the year and still enjoy all membership benefits until the end of the current membership year.

Summer Course Package:	$55

Thanks to the financial support from the Bernard Osher Foundation, The University of Alabama’s Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE), partners, and contributors, the OLLI membership fees remain very low.

At OLLI, we value a welcoming, respectful, and enriching atmosphere. Help us maintain this environment by keeping these friendly reminders in mind:

• Be Punctual: Arrive on time for all courses, trips, and events.
• Silence Devices: Turn off or silence cell phones and smartwatches during class.
• Registered Members Only: Attend only the courses and activities you’ve signed up for.
• Refreshments for OLLI: Enjoy beverages provided for OLLI classes—avoid refreshments for other events at shared locations.
• Practice Good Hygiene: Be considerate of others in social and classroom settings.
• Respectful Interaction: Engage in discussions with kindness and respect for differing viewpoints.
• Classroom Courtesy: On Zoom or in person, be mindful of others, respect the instructor, stay on topic, and keep comments brief.
• Value Opposing Viewpoints: Different perspectives are welcomed and appreciated when shared respectfully
• Stay Healthy: Wash hands frequently, and if unwell, please stay home.
